Peel Regional Police announced the arrest of two men in connection with the recent murder of a prominent Sikh businessman.
Authorities said Tuesday that Aman Aman and Digvijay Digvijay—two “21-year-old men from Delta, B.C.”—were tracked back to Delta and arrested on May 28.
Police are linking the suspects to the May 14 murder of Harjeet Dhadda.
As previously reported by True North, on May 14, 2025, at approximately 11:49 a.m., Dhadda, a 51-year-old man from Brampton, was approached and shot multiple times while in a parking lot near Tranmere Drive and Telford Way in Mississauga.
After Dhadda succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, his daughter, Gurlin, alleged in a social media post that her father’s murder may be connected to the growing extortion problem plaguing the Punjab community in Canada.
According to authorities, after an intensive investigation and receiving “assistance from officers with the Delta Police Department, Abbotsford Police and Surrey Police,” the two suspects were identified and arrested in B.C. on May 28.
Police added that the accused appeared before a judge in Surrey, B.C., before being turned over to Homicide Detectives to be transported back to Ontario, where they faced a bail hearing on June 1.
“This arrest is a testament to the unwavering perseverance and diligence of our homicide investigators,” said Chief Nishan Duraiappah from the Peel Regional Police.
“Despite the suspects’ efforts to evade capture, our teams remained focused and relentless. This outcome sends a clear message — no matter how far you run, our teams will find you,” Duraiappah added.
