An investigation by Niagara police earlier this month has led to multiple charges against two men, including offences related to the trafficking of fentanyl.
Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service launched an investigation in early May into the trafficking of controlled substances in the Niagara Region.
On May 6, authorities arrested two suspects at a Thorold residence — approximately a 20-minute drive from Niagara Falls.
As a result of the investigation, detectives received judicial authorization to execute a search warrant where they located and seized over 200 grams of suspected fentanyl, nearly 20 grams of suspected crack cocaine, nearly $30,000 in Canadian currency, and a black Glock 19 handgun with 4 rounds of ammunition.
39-year-old Robert Scott, of no fixed address, was arrested and is facing charges related to the possession of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and multiple weapons charges.
30-year-old Holly Selseotes, of Niagara Falls, was also arrested and is facing similar charges related to suspect fentanyl and cocaine possession along with the unlawful possession of a firearm.
Both Scott and Selseotes were held for a bail hearing on Wednesday, May 7 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
