Peel Regional Police have charged a man—already out on release and awaiting sentencing for similar offences—for an alleged violent sexual assault spree targetting random women.
Between October 2024 and April 2025, police allege that Rick Junior Arson, a 26-year-old Mississauga resident, sexually assaulted at least two women and attempted to assault a third while he was on release for similar charges stemming from incidents in the Timmins area.
According to the recent report from Peel police, on October 6, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., Arson allegedly followed a woman in her 30s on his bicycle in the area of Monica Drive before attacking and sexually assaulting her.
Police say that on March 24, 2025, Arson assaulted a second woman—also in her 30s—after following her in a black sedan near Redstone Road and Homeside Gardens.
Then, on April 2, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Arson allegedly attempted to abduct a third victim, a woman in her late teens, by trying to pull her into his black sedan in the area of Redstone Road and Netherwood Road.
Arson was arrested on April 4 and has since been charged with assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, kidnapping, and two counts of sexual assault.
He has been remanded into custody.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to contact the Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121, extension 3460.
