Toronto police are asking any other victims to come forward after arresting 24-year-old Kanav Bhatia for sexual assault against two female minors.
Peel Regional Police released Bhatia’s picture as well as the charges he is facing.
Bhatia is accused of depraved acts involving two females under the age of 16.
Peel Regional Police said that between March 23 and April 1, 2025, the accused used social media to lure and sexually assault two female youths.
Investigators from the Special Victims Unit have charged Bhatia following an investigation.
On Friday, April 4, 2025, the 24-year-old man was arrested and then charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, five counts of luring, and several counts related to the production, possession and transmission of child pornography.
Bhatia was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Investigators believe there may be more victims and encourage them to call the Special Victims Unit or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
