The eccentrically dressed founder of the World Economic Forum, best known for its globalist elite Davos summit, and highly criticized as an out-of-touch international body with its hands in most major governments around the world, has resigned.
The WEF announced Klaus Schwab, the chairman of its board of trustees, was stepping down in a “governance transition” on Monday.
“Following my recent announcement, and as I enter my 88th year, I have decided to step down from the position of Chair and as a member of the Board of Trustees, with immediate effect,” Schwab informed the board in Geneva, Switzerland, during a Sunday board meeting, according to the news release.
The group said its board unanimously appointed Vice Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe as Chairman “ad interim.”
Brabeck-Letmathe, an ex-Nestlé CEO, will act as chairman in Schwab’s absence until the WEF’s search committee selects the next chair of the organization. Brabeck-Letmathe famously said that access to water was not a human right.
According to the release, Schwab served as the helm of the globalist institution for 55 years.
“At a time when the world is undergoing rapid transformation, the need for inclusive dialogue to navigate complexity and shape the future has never been more critical,” the WEF said.
The group noted it would “remain steadfast” to its “mission and values as a facilitator of progress and continue to “bring together” leaders from all sectors and regions to “exchange insights” and “foster collaboration.”
He famously shared his vision for humanity, which included a dietary change for the world from eating meat to a more environmentally conscious diet of insect-based proteins.
He also noted that the WEF was “very proud” that it had “penetrated the cabinets” of the world’s governments, calling out Canada by name. He was a fan of the “young leader” Justin Trudeau, whom he boasted was a graduate of his mentoring program at the WEF.
“Trudeau, for example, half of his cabinet, or even more, are actually Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum,” he said during a 2017 WEF conference.
He also coined the phrase “the fourth industrial revolution,” which he claimed would lead to a transhumanist future which would “lead to a fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity,” and promoted “global governance” as the “only real solution” to the world’s problems.
Chrystia Freeland, who was appointed to Liberal Leader Mark Carney’s cabinet until recently, sat on the WEF’s board of directors.
Schwab also coined the phrase “the great reset,” promoting the idea of changing the world’s economy as much global trade was shut down due to governments’ responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world,” he said in a book he co-authored, “COVID-19: The Great Reset.”
World leaders, including Trudeau, in a September 2020 speech, Joe Biden and then Prince Charles, now King Charles, echoed the words of Schwab, saying that the pandemic provided an opportunity for such a reset.
As part of the WEF-led “Great Reset,” the WEF also released a promotional video predicting what the world would look like in 2030, which vowed an end to private ownership, and a transition to a renting economy.
“You’ll own nothing, and you’ll be happy,” the video stated.
The video, along with other WEF plans for humanity, was widely criticized as a dystopian socialist vision for the future.
